Team Alberta is headed home from Guthrie, Oklahoma, and what a week it has been.
The Junior High National Finals Rodeo is officially in the books, and we’re beyond proud of the way these athletes represented Alberta on one of the biggest stages in youth rodeo.
Together, Team Alberta brought home multiple Top 20 World finishes, including several Top 10 performances and a Top 5 finish.
To our Team Alberta athletes—thank you for representing Alberta with determination, sportsmanship, resilience, and heart. You gave us so much to cheer for this week, and we couldn’t be prouder.
Congratulations on an incredible Junior High Nationals. Safe travels home, Team Alberta. Alberta is proud of you. ❤️🤍❤️

Sometimes the most memorable moments at Nationals happen outside of competition. ❤️🇨🇦
This week, Antonio Montoya from New Mexico proudly carried the Canadian flag during grand entry at the Junior High National Finals Rodeo.
As Canadians, that meant more to us than he probably realizes.
Since then, we’ve learned that Antonio has been a fan of Canada for quite some time. He even bid on the Canadian silent auction at the NHSRA Winter Meeting, has been enjoying Canadian snacks, and hopes to make it north one day for a fishing trip.
His mom described him as “a great kid with a humble heart,” and after getting to know a little more about him, we’d have to agree.
On behalf of Team Alberta—and we think it’s safe to say all of the Canadian provinces competing at Nationals—thank you, Antonio. Thank you for carrying our flag with pride and for showing such genuine kindness and respect for our country.
The rodeo world is a small one, and it’s people like you who make it feel even smaller.
We’ll be cheering for you from Canada, and we hope that fishing trip becomes a reality someday. 🇨🇦❤️🤠
